A Very Good set. 8vos., each volume approximately 450 pages and each with 7 engravings, with 2 versions of each engraving, the first state, and the final version, each with captioned tissue guards. Uniformy bound in red cloth with paper title labels on the spine. Printed on Japanese Vellum paper, of high quality. Light shelf wear to the volumes, mostly affecting the spines and spine ends. The paper title labels are tanned, with some chipping and rubbing and the initial red letter of each word in the volume's title fading. The same previous owner's bookplate in each volume on the paste down. A very Good set, with Near Fine contents. Very Good. Item #30991
