The boards are scratched, with edge wear. Small ink spot on the edge of the front end papers. Several of the blank plate guards have been removed. A Good copy. *** A beautifully illustrated story of Robinson Crusoe. Illustrated by the German American painter, Carl von Marr. Marr would become a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich in 1893, and in 1895 a member of the Berlin Academy of Arts. Perhaps best known for his large canvas The Flagellants, painted in 1889, now on permanent exhibition at the Museum of Wisconsin Art.***.
