It chronicles the rise and independence of Belgium and the Netherlands from the Eighty Year's War. The Netherlands and Belgium rose to revolt with the ascension of the Spanish king Phillip II to the Hapsburg empire, and thus to Hapsburg Netherlands. The Wars eventually end with the Treaty of Westphalia, and the Independence of the Netherlands, and, separately, Belgium.
