1st edition. A Near Fine lithograph in Very Good frame. Image: 20" x 24", frame: 24.75" x 29.5". Atlas folio. Black and white portrait lithograph, in early 20th century composite frame with glaze. The frame has a few chips in the composite. The lithograph is bright and with out any soiling. There are a couple of small creases, with one crease effecting the image, near the breast pocket. A Near Fine print. *** The inscription below the image reads "1861-1865/Jefferson Davis/President/Confederate States of America." To the left of the image is the wording: "The expression is fine, inspired in fact./ Yours faithfully/Mrs. M. H. J.D. Hayes." On the right side of the image is the inscription: "This picture is approved by Mrs. M. H. J. D. Hayes, daughter of Jefferson Davis and by Mrs. W. J.
