(ca. 1575) Hand colored, double page, copper engraved map. One sheet. Image: 19" x 14 1/2", in frame 22 3/4" x 17 ". A Good copy. Some toning to the margins. Two bird's-eye views of Candia (Heraklion, Crete) above and La Cita de Corfu (City of Corfu) below. Candia, on the north coast, viewed from the sea. The surrounding mountains, act like a wall to help fortify the town. Corfu name for both the city and island, that lies in the Ionian sea, near the Greek coast. Viewed from the east, we see a high mountain, upon sits the New Castle, and below it sits the Old Castle.
